Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
We keep this short and in plain English. Here's what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
softwareForge is a web and software design company.
What we collect
We only collect information we genuinely need to do the job:
- Contact form — your name, email, the service or package you're interested in, and your message when you get in touch via our website.
- Client records — your business name, contact details, business identifier, and address for project and billing purposes.
- Project information — project descriptions, billing details, and any content or materials you share with us for the project.
- Support tickets — ticket text, comments, and attachments you submit when requesting help.
- Invoices — invoice records and payment details associated with your projects.
- Portal account — username, full name, email, password (stored as a hash), and last login time when you use the client portal.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To deliver, manage, and bill for your projects.
- To provide technical support and track issues through our ticketing system.
- To give you secure access to project status, invoices, and support through the client portal.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
- We don't use your data to build advertising profiles.
- We don't send unsolicited marketing emails.
Reinach's personal assistant
Reinach's personal assistant uses his own Google account data to read his emails and help him respond to them. It is not shared with or sold to any other party. Public visitors to this website do not connect Google accounts.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to operate this website and deliver our services (for example, hosting, email delivery, and AI assistant providers).
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. This includes access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and regular software updates. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data like it matters — because it does.
How long we keep things
We retain project files, tickets, and invoices for as long as you're an active client, plus a reasonable period after the project ends to handle follow-up questions and meet any legal record-keeping obligations. Portal account data is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to any legal retention obligations we must comply with.
Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights under local privacy and consumer law. In general, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Request corrections if something is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your personal information (subject to any legal retention obligations).
- Complain to us directly, or to the relevant privacy regulator in your jurisdiction if you're not satisfied with our response.
These rights do not affect any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you by operation of law.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the date above.
